Argus Seventy-Five

Box cameras with waist level view finders are a fun departure from the modern DSLR cameras. While camera technology has greatly improved, the process of “taking pictures” can become routine and monotonous. But going back to the beginning, using film cameras helps to make photography exciting again.

Enter the Argus Seventy-Five and 620 film.

One of the cool side effects of polaroid’s resurgence is increased availability of film. 35 mm filter can be easily found but 620 film requires a little more effort. I managed to successfully find some vendors that have 620 film.

The argus seventy-five is small compared to the Mint TL70+. The Mint TL70+ is a polaroid style camera. It takes FujiFilm square and is loaded by opening back of camera. The exposed film from the picture taking process will exit the camera through the opening where the viewer find is also present.

I like the Argus seventy-five. It is a lighter camera and is going to be fun to use. After I complete a few rolls of film and will move on to the next process. The next process is going to be the hardest because I will be processing film and producing negatives.
