kodak 4ootx film cartridge

The Film Cartridge

I completed all exposures for a Kodak Professional Black and White 400TX disposable camera. It is true what is said about film cameras. Knowing I had a limited amount of exposures, I found myself taking more time and being more selective about when I hit that shutter. The original plan for getting disposable cameras was to test the process of developing black and white film before I used actual film cameras. I did not expect to enjoy the disposable cameras as much as I did. They are light weight and easily fit in my pocket.

There are two black and white cameras. I have only completed exposures for one at this time. For the completed camera, I have done the following:

  • Removed the Kodak sticker design cover
  • Remove battery door to save AAA battery for later use
  • Remove film door to retrieve film cartridge

The camera does not have much inside of it, but I do plan to remove the flash and shutter mechanism inside at a later time. There is a little circuit board inside that I would like to inspect.

The film cartridge is of good quality. I have all the resources I need to develop the film but I have been taking my time. The plan is to use a test cartridge and practice the process of transferring film to developing tank in a changing bag. Once I feel confident, I will start the real process.
